New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s Dinky released a day before Prabhas’ Salaar. There is already a tussle between the two films over the screen. ‘Dinky’ on December 21 collected Rs. It opened well with a collection of 30 crores, but it is Shah Rukh Khan’s lowest opening day grosser in 2023.
‘Dinky’ is facing a formidable challenge from Prabhas’ ‘Saalar’ on the second day of its release. According to Secnilk’s report, ‘Dinky’ has earned more than Rs 5 crore. The film is expected to do a business of around Rs 25 crore by the end of the day. ‘Dinky’ had more screens till yesterday, but there is a tremendous buzz about Prabhas’ ‘Saalar’, which has also increased its screen count.
Impact of collision with ‘Salar’ on ‘Dinky’
There are talks that ‘Saalar’ has already earned Rs 90 crore from advance ticket bookings. It is estimated that Prabhas’ film will earn double the first day collection of ‘Dinky’ on its opening day. That means the first day collection of ‘Saalar’ is expected to be around Rs 60 crore. Although ‘Dinky’ is off to a good start, the clash with ‘Saalar’ may reduce its ticket sales.

Apart from Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan played important roles in ‘Salar’, while Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dinky’.
