Waqar Younis advises ICC

Waqar Younis: World Cup (World Cup 2023) Apart from the Indian bowlers, we didn’t get to see much of a performance from the other fast bowlers, which surprised many former greats. At the same time, Waqar Younis has shared a special post on social media which is in discussion among the fans. The former Pakistan fast bowler has advised the ICC and also talked about saving the reverse swing. Former Sri Lankan player Sanath Jayasuriya has also reacted to Waqar’s post. In fact, Waqar wrote in the post, “ODI cricket is suitable for batsmen. I appeal to ICC to start the innings with 2 new balls. After 30 overs, remove one ball. Continue the game with the other ball. In the end that ball will be only 35 overs and We will see some reverse swing at the end of the innings. Please, save the art of reverse swing. Sanath also responded and agreed to Waqar’s suggestion.

Let me tell you that for fast bowlers Reverse swing Has been a perfect weapon. In their time, Waqar and Wasim Akram used to trouble the opposition batsmen with their reverse swing bowling. But now the current cricket lacked reverse swing. This is why Waqar shared a post on social media X suggesting to change the rules.

Waqar Younis has played 87 Tests in his career in which he managed to take 373 wickets. Along with this, he has 416 wickets in ODIs. There was a time when Pakistan cricket had a rivalry between Wasim Akran and Waqar. It was not easy for any batsman to face these two bowlers.
