Former Pakistan cricket team captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi has given great advice to the team playing the Test series in Australia. He has named the player who should also be a part of Pakistan’s Test squad. Afridi has said that fast bowler Haris Rauf should be part of the Test team instead of the Big Bash League (BBL). Rauf is currently in Australia, but he is playing the T20 league there.
Shahid Afridi while talking to the media at the Melbourne Cricket Ground i.e. MCG said, “I think Rauf should have been part of the Test team instead of the BBL. In that case, the kind of pace Rauf has, he can do well here.” .” Afridi, who is in Australia for work related to his foundation, said he did not think Shaheen’s previous injury was the reason for the drop in pace.
He believes that Pakistan needs to go deeper than the individual and think about where the shortcomings lie. He said, “I never felt that Shaheen was injured. You cannot play as a fast bowler if you are injured. He knows his responsibility and he also knows how important he is to the team. “We have learned from the fast bowler. Expecting more. He has done well in the past.”
Shahid Afridi further said, “Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen have performed so well that we expect them to perform in every match. Consistency is a challenge in cricket.” Regarding bench strength, he said, “I have always said that unless our bench is strong, we will not be able to take the best decisions. The A team should also be as strong as the main team, so if Shaheen or Babar or Rizwan. Strong. If not, then “we shouldn’t make excuses for not being players, like we have with Naseem. When our bench is strong, we will have no excuses.”
