Shame on me… Pakistani player pleads with Babar

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team has lost track of victory in ICC ODI World Cup 2023. After winning the first two matches, the morale of the Pakistani team was at its peak but first India and now Australia have fielded them. The Pakistani fielder was also instrumental in helping Australia win (AUS vs PAK). In this match, Pakistan fielders dropped many catches, due to which Australia managed to score big. In this match, Pakistan’s Osama Mir got a place in the playing eleven in place of Shadab Khan, who dropped an easy catch to David Warner. Warner played an important role for Australia in the defeat of Pakistan. Now Osama has apologized to his captain Babar Azam.

Shaheen Afridi bowled the 5th over of Australia’s innings. On the third ball of this over, David Warner tried to hit a big shot but the ball flew in the air. Osama Mir was fielding in the direction the ball went. Mir positioned himself to catch the shot but the ball dropped without touching his hands. Osama could have taken this catch but he couldn’t. Warner was playing on 10 when the catch dropped. Later, Warner took Australia’s score to 367 runs by playing an innings of 163 runs. Pakistan team lost this match by 62 runs.

Couldn’t live up to expectations
Had Osama taken this catch, the outcome of the match might have been different. He realized his mistake and tagged his captain Babar Azam on X.com and wrote, ‘I’m embarrassed by this. Captain @babarazam258 you gave me a chance and I couldn’t live up to your expectations. I made a big mistake by dropping the catch which cost us the loss.

Pakistan team will face Afghanistan on Monday
