An interesting case has come up in Utah, USA. A man claimed he ordered a milkshake from an online food delivery app, but was delivered urine. According to media reports, Utah resident Caleb Woods ordered a milkshake and fries from food delivery app GrubHub.
Urine is delivered in lieu of milkshakes
According to the report, Woods passed out as soon as he took a sip after the delivery. He was given urine instead of milk shake. Woods said when I took a sip it felt very strange. After this, I removed the glass lid and saw that there was urine in it. There was a strange smell.
The driver admitted his mistake
According to Caleb Woods, he then called the delivery partner and called him back and questioned him sternly. The delivery partner admitted its mistake. He said he sometimes couldn’t urinate because he worked long hours in delivery.
To avoid this situation, he keeps a glass in his bike in which he urinates. By mistake, he gave the glass containing the urine to Woods.
The company apologized
According to Woods, he complained about this to the delivery app, but the company responded four days later. Even the full amount was not refunded. According to Woods, the company returned only $18. Delivery fee and tip are not refunded. When the incident went viral on social media, GrubHub also released a statement.
GrubHub said it has terminated its contract with the delivery partner. The company said that this type of action is totally unacceptable. We do not expect such behavior from any delivery partner. The company also apologized and expressed regret to the customer.
