New Delhi. Sharat Saxena, who played the role of Dhaga in Sridevi’s Mr India, acted in several such films in the 90s which created a sensation at the box office. In his career, he mostly played villain roles in all kinds of films. But after all this work, even now at the age of 73, he is desperate for work.

In the 80s and 90s, you would have seen the villain Sharath Saxena being beaten by the hero in many films. Being a villain, he has won the hearts of people every time with his work. Working in the Hindi film industry for decades, Sharath has played supporting roles in many films, from Anil Kapoor’s Sridevi’s Mr. India to Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Aamir Khan’s Ghulam. But do you know that when a 25-year-old engineering student wanted to become an actor, he left everything and came to Mumbai.

Sharat Saxena recently revealed some things related to Pran and Ashok Kumar in an interview given to Rajshri Unplugged. He said, ‘Once I was sitting at home. When there were no mobile phones, a call came on my landline and the voice said that I was calling Pran. As soon as I heard his voice, I immediately got up from the chair. He told me, bro, I saw your movie ‘Aaj Ka Gundaraj’, you did a good job, I liked it a lot. I went to see him the very next day and took his words as an award. I have not received any award till date, but because of these words of Pran Sahib, I have definitely received an actor’s certificate.

Meanwhile Sharath also mentioned the incident related to Ashok Kumar. He said that I was working in BR Chopra’s serial. Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar ji was also coming for shooting. He once told BR Chopra about me, ‘Where did you get this, it works well. I was very happy when BR Chopra told me this. He complimented me so much when I met him even while having lunch.

Let us tell you that Sharat Saxena has been working in the film industry for 50 years. But after working in Aamir Khan’s film ‘Ghulam’, his career started to fade away. Even today at the age of 73, he himself said that he has no work. However, after working for so many years, he is still desperate for work.
