Today, Sonal owns her own small factory.
Sonal started his journey to create useful things from waste products. She made bags out of old sarees, chunni and cloth. Sold them in the market. Demonstrations were also held in different cities for this. But he saw that others were making the best of the waste and that there was little market for it. So he gave his business a new look.
Self-created identity
Sonal says she wanted to make her mark. That is why he did not choose the path of employment. When he didn’t have much success making bags out of waste, he started making carry bags.
20 thousand pieces sold
Today, Sonal works making carry bags. The carry bags manufactured by them are supplied to shopping malls, shops, markets and other places. Now their cells get better over time. Today it supplies more than 20 thousand carry bags to the market every month. The starting price of these bags ranges from Rs 100 to thousands. Most of the sales are done in bulk.
The aim is to provide employment to people
Sonal now wants to expand her small business in the future. She wants to set up a factory where large quantities of carry bags can be produced and she wants to employ women who have none so that they too can become self-reliant.
