The stock market is a little gloomy on Dhanteras day. Market started weak today. Bombay Stock Exchange BSE’s 30-share flagship index Sensex opened 76 points lower at 64756 today. While Nifty of National Stock Exchange today started the day at 19351 level.

Sensex was trading down 193 points at 64639 in early trade. 24 of its shares were in the red. On the Sensex, all stocks except Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, NTPC, Tech Mahindra, Ultra Tech and HCL Tech were trading in the red. On the other hand Nifty was down 50 points at 19344. The top losers in the Nifty were stocks like Titan, Mahindra & Mahindra, Eicher, Doctor Reddy and Maruti.
69 stocks upper circuit in declining market
2198 shares were traded in morning session on National Stock Exchange NSE. Out of them 1087 were trading on red mark and 1020 on green mark. Whereas, there was no change in 91. In the declining market, 69 stocks had an upper circuit and 49 had a lower circuit. A total of 62 stocks made new 52-week highs while 11 stocks made new lows.

American markets also closed in the red after the fall in Indian stock markets on Thursday. Wall Street’s Dow Jones was down 0.65%, or 220.33 points, at 33,891.94. The S&P 500 also closed down .81% at 4,347.35. The Nasdaq was down 0.94% or 128.97 points. It closed at 13,521.45.
