On Tuesday, the second business day of the week, the stock market got off to a strong start. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)’s 30-share benchmark index Sensex and National Stock Exchange’s 50-share Nifty 50 opened in the green. Today the Sensex opened at 65860 with a gain of 205 points. While Nifty started the day today with an increase of 76 points to 19770 levels.
Sensex was up 225 points at 65880 in early trade. While it was trading at 19,771 with a jump of 77 points. Top gainers on the Nifty include stocks like Hindalco, Adani Enterprises, Tata Steel, JSW Steel and Coal India, while top losers include Tata Consumer, Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Finance, Divis Lab and Britannia.

American markets closed higher
While Indian stock markets closed lower on Monday, US markets were bullish. Wall Street’s benchmark index Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 203 points to close at 35,151 and the S&P rose 33 points to 4,547. The Nasdaq rose 1.13 percent, or 159 points. The Nasdaq managed to close at 14284.
If we talk about the domestic market, on Monday Sensex closed at 65,655.15 points with a decline of 139.58 i.e. 0.21 percent. It fell to 246.93 points at one point during the trading. The Nifty also slipped 37.80 points or 0.19 percent to close at 19,694 points.
