Sunny Deol’s second son Rajveer Deol is all set to make his Bollywood debut. This film is going to release next month i.e. in October. Now before the debut, Rajveer talked about comparison with his father Sunny Deol. Not only this, he also revealed how he reacted when Bhai Karan’s first film flopped. Rajveer said that he also auditioned for his film and was happy that it was launched by someone else and not by his family.
Rajveer auditioned
Talking to News 18, Rajveer said that after the release of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Hai, I saw Karan as very low. So my biggest challenge was the fear of not being able to earn money for myself. So when both the films came to me, I was happy that I auditioned because I didn’t want to feel later that I didn’t deserve it.
Bhai Karan is happy
Rajveer revealed how he spoke to Karan before the debut. He says, ‘Karan told me that I am very lucky that someone outside the family is launching me as he has faced a lot of problems due to being launched by the family. He didn’t have the freedom to choose the character according to his choice as it involved many senior people like my father who was a part of this film. Karan was happy that I am doing both films which are not from our production house.
Comparison with father
Rajveer said he knows people will compare him with father Sunny Deol. But they have to choose their own path. He said that till now everyone has seen my father doing action films, so everyone wants me to do action films too, but he wants to see how the audience reacts to his film.
Our identities are different
Rajveer further said, ‘I know people now want to see a new version of their father in the new generation. But now this is a different time and we have a different identity. The best thing is that I ignore these comparisons and do what feels right for me.
Talking about both the films, Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma is also making her debut with Karan. Not only this, the film is being directed by Sooraj Avinash Barjatya’s son Avinash. This is also Avinash’s first film as a director.
