In this scene, Kamal Haas had to speak in Punjabi and also had one hand in another place. In the meantime, he had done heavy make-up. The scene was shot in slow motion in about 48 frames. Praising Kamal Haasan, the director said that no one in the world could have done this scene except Kamal sir. He further said about this, ‘It took four hours to apply the prosthetic makeup and one hour to remove it. Kamal Haasan sir did this for 70 days. He is a great actor.
