Padma Shri awardee Manoj Bajpayee is currently gearing up for the release of his 100th film ‘Bhaiyya Ji’. He said that he never thought that he would be able to act in more than 10 films. The actor said this while talking to the media on the occasion of the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai’s Andheri area on Thursday (May 9). She said she considers herself very lucky to have reached this position today. Manoj said, “Many actors work hard every day but it is the love of the audience that has allowed and strengthened him as an actor to tell the stories he loves.”
He said, “I never thought I would do more than 10 films but life has been kind that I am here with my 100th film. It is not that I am the only one working hard. All actors work hard every day but this It is because of God and the audience that I have reached this position.”
Manoj’s journey in cinema has been quite dramatic. After trying out for the National School of Drama, when he didn’t get into that college, he learned acting from Barry John. Manoj has been a good friend of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan since his theater days as Barry John was a mentor to both of them. Manoj entered cinema 30 years ago with ‘Bandit Queen’. He played a small role in this film. After this, he caught the attention of Ram Gopal Varma who cast him as Bhiku Mhatre in ‘Satya’. This is a film that completely changed the style of storytelling in Hindi cinema.
With a career spanning 30 years, Manoj is now all set to play a desi action hero in ‘Bhaiya Ji’. Produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shail Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpai and Vikram Khakhar under the banner of Bhanushali Studio Limited SSO Productions and Orega Studio Productions. The film will release on 24 May 2024.
