IIT Delhi has emerged as the second choice for meritorious students who have secured top 100 ranks in JEE Advanced. IIT Bomb has bagged the first position. This was revealed in the annual report of IIT Guwahati, which organized the JEE Advanced exam this year. According to the report, 46 meritorious students who secured top 50 positions got admission in IIT Bombay. Also like 67 meritorious students in top 100. Second rank 22 meritorious students have got admission in IIT Delhi and eight meritorious students have got admission in IIT Madras, which became the third choice. The report analyzes meritorious selection including top 1000 rankers. A total of 17 thousand have got admission in IIT.

Not much interested in
According to the report, meritorious students who secured top 1000 ranks in JEE Advanced did not show any interest in 13 IITs. In which top one thousand rankers did not take admission in IIT Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Jodhpur, Gandhinagar, Patna, Dhanbad, Ropar, Bhilai, Palakkad, Goa, Tirupati, Jammu and Dharwad.

Apply for JEE Main by 30th November
The last date to apply for JEE Main Session-1 admission is 30 November 2023. JEE Main Session-1 exam will be held on 24 January and 1 February 2024 while Session-2 exam will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024. Exam city information will be given in second week of January. Admit card will be issued three days before the exam date. JEE Main Session 1 Result will be out on 12th February. After the completion of JEE Main exams, the rank of the students will be released based on the best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates who secure first 2,50,000 rank in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IITs is through JEE Advanced.
