Shubman Gill revealed the secret of success, said- I am most inspired by this player.

New Delhi. India has entered the final of World Cup 2023 after defeating New Zealand. They will now face the winner of the match between Australia and South Africa in the final. The journey to the finals was quite easy for Team India. From Virat Kohli to Mohammed Shami, all the players performed brilliantly. Virat broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record by scoring his 50th century in an ODI against New Zealand. Shubman Gill also scored 80 runs in this match. However, due to injury, he had to go out. Gill has said that he is very inspired by Virat Kohli.

In the post-match press conference, Shubman Gill praised Virat Kohli, saying, “You know… every time he (Virat Kohli) comes on the field, he does something special. He has been doing this continuously for 10-15 years. But none of his skills inspire me. What inspires me is his hunger for runs. The mentality he comes on the field with is fantastic. He has been doing this for many years. This is what drives me so far.

Rohit Sharma has won the semi-final, the final is more difficult to win, so the same team should not spoil it…

Talking about his injury, Gill said, “It started with a cramp and then I had a little strain on my hamstring. It was quite painful. This was the worst feeling since dengue. I could have scored a century if I hadn’t had the cramp. But I believe the score we scored. Even though I didn’t score a century, it was enough. We were looking to score 400 runs.

In the semi-final match against New Zealand, Shubman Gill was injured and left the field at the score of 79 runs. He was having trouble walking while batting. Gill was having trouble running. Due to this, he retired and came off the field injured. When the fourth wicket fell in the form of Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman came to bat again. Scored 1 run off 1 ball in the last over and then returned to 80 not out.
