New Delhi. Ahead of the World Cup (World Cup 2023), the Indian team barely came out of the injury trap, when one of the team’s star all-rounders fell victim to an injury ahead of the mega event. After this, when the team started the tournament with a win, Hardik Pandya also got injured in the middle. After which the discussions were heated all around to fill this position. The issue has once again come to the fore as Akshar Patel has proved his fitness with a storming innings.

Akshar Patel is an all-rounder who once did not miss Ravindra Jadeja’s absence. Apart from this, he contributed to Team India in all three formats with his all-round performance. He cemented his place in the Indian team but Akshar suffered a serious hand injury in the Asia Cup. After which R Ashwin’s luck smiled on him and he not only made a comeback in ODIs but also got a chance to play in the World Cup. But now Akshar Patel is fully fit. Playing for Gujarat, he scored a brilliant half-century against Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Abhishek Sharma scored a blistering century in 56 balls against Gujarat for Punjab. Because of this, the team set a huge target of 234 runs against Gujarat. In reply, Chirag scored 80 runs in 42 balls from Gujarat. After this, Akshar Patel raised hopes with his explosive style. Akshar scored 52 runs in 27 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Hardik Pandya was injured in the match against Bangladesh. After which Suryakumar Yadav was included in the team in his place in the next match, but he proved to be a flop.
