4% hike in DA once again, good news for these employees ahead of Diwali

7th Pay Commission: Ahead of Diwali, states are also set to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of their employees. Many states have also started advertising. In this series, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced to increase the dearness allowance of the state government employees by 4 percent.

How much is the allowance: Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Center has increased the DA for government employees from 42 percent to 46 percent. Keeping this decision in mind, the Haryana government has also decided to increase the DA by four percent before Diwali. The Chief Minister said that the state government employees will get increased DA from July 1, 2023. This decision will benefit around 3.5 lakh employees in Haryana.

The Center also announced: Recently, the central government also announced to increase the allowance. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners from July 01, 2023. The increase is 4 percent and with it the allowance has now increased to 46 percent.

The combined impact on the exchequer due to dearness allowance and dearness relief is Rs. 12,857 crore will be. It will benefit about 48.67 lakh central government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
