The Israeli army has released a video of the tunnel found inside the Al Shifa hospital.

Israel released a video of a Hamas tunnel under the Gaza Strip’s largest hospital on Sunday. Israel has said that Hamas has developed a network of hundreds of kilometers of secret tunnels and bunkers throughout the Palestinian territories. According to Reuters, Hamas has denied that its tunnels are located in civilian structures such as hospitals.

Giving an update on its operation at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the Israeli army said its engineers had discovered a tunnel 10 meters deep and 55 meters long leading to a blast-proof door.

“This type of gate is used by the Hamas terrorist organization to prevent Israeli forces from entering Hamas bases,” a military statement accompanying the video said.
The statement did not say what was outside the door. It said the tunnel was accessed through a shaft discovered in a shed inside the Shifa compound, which contained weapons.
