A 37-year-old Mumbai police constable had his throat slit with a kite string on Sunday afternoon. An official gave this information. He said that at the time of the accident, policeman Sameer Suresh Jadhav was on the Vakola Bridge of the Western Express Highway when the accident took place.

The officer said, “Jadhav was posted at Dindoshi police station in Goregaon and was returning to his home in Worli on a motorcycle. After his throat was cut by the kite string, he was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The official said that Kherwadi police officials reached the spot in connection with the investigation. Jadhav’s family members have been informed about the incident.
