A Sikh teenager has been stabbed to death after a street fight in south-west London. London’s Metropolitan Police said on Friday that the teenager has been identified as Simarjit Singh Nangpal. Four people have been detained in connection with Simarjeet’s murder. The ages of the detained persons are stated to be 21, 27, 31 and 71 years. Simarjeet was murdered early Wednesday morning in Hounslow area of London.
Detectives from the police’s specialist crime unit said they would continue to investigate the events surrounding the tragic death of 17-year-old Simarjit and assured the Sikh community that they would work hard to bring those responsible for the killing to justice.
Detective Police Inspector Martin Thorpe said: “We are working around the clock to find those responsible for Simarjit’s murder, as his family members struggle to come to terms with what happened.
“Four people have been arrested in this connection and our investigation is on,” he said. “I would urge anyone who has information about how these incidents happened or who captured the incident on their phone, dash cam or doorbell footage to please come forward and support us.”
