BENGALURU MURDER: Accused said he killed Pratima KS because he fired him.

A Karnataka government official was found dead at his home in Bengaluru. Police arrested the driver accused of killing the officer on Monday. Prathima KS, 45, who worked in the Mines and Geology Department, was stabbed to death at her house in Subramanyapora area of the city. His colleagues are shocked by this murder. At the time of the incident, her husband and son were in Shivamoga district, 300 km from Bengaluru.

Sources told NDTV that the driver, who was a government employee on contract for the past five years, has confessed to the charge. The accused said that he killed Pratima KS because he fired him. The driver has been identified as Kiran.
Sources said that after committing the incident, he fled to Chamarajanagar, about 200 km from Bengaluru. Pratima’s murder came to light around 8.30 am on Sunday when her brother informed the police. Preliminary inquiries revealed that she was at the office till 6 pm on Saturday, after which a driver hired in Kiran’s place dropped her at home.
