Stock Market Updates: After a good start, the stock market is seeing a decline today. Within minutes of opening above 65000, the Sensex fell to 64765. While Nifty is down 52 points to 19358. Let us tell you that this week, the stock market had a strong start for the second day in a row. The 30-share Bombay Stock Exchange BSE Sensex opened 62.60 points higher at 65,021.29 today. While Nifty of National Stock Exchange today started the day at 19404 level.

21 Sensex stocks were in the red in early trade. Shares of big companies like Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Infosys, JSW Steel, Reliance, State Bank were trading on red mark. Among the gainers were Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Nestlé, HCL Tech, TCS, Maruti, Wipro, Sun Pharma.

On the other hand, American stock markets closed higher on Monday. Global equities rose on Monday and Treasury yields rose sharply in stocks and bonds last week on hopes that interest rates will soon fall, Reuters reported. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3% while the S&P 500 gained 0.18%. On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1%. Meanwhile, the yield on 10-year Treasuries rose 9.1 basis points to 4.649%.
