Indian team scored 240 runs on the back of centuries by KL Rahul and Virat Kohli and set Australia a target of 241 runs to win. Shubman Gill scored only 4 runs in the final. The onus was on him to give India a good start along with Rohit Sharma, but it didn’t happen. For India, Rohit Sharma scored 47, Virat Kohli 54, Iyer 4, KL Rahul 66, Jadeja 9, Suryakumar Yadav 18, Shami 6, Bumrah 1, Kuldeep 10 and Siraj 9 unbeaten. Mitchell Starc took 3 wickets from Australia in this match. In reply, Australia won the match by 6 wickets on the back of Travis Head’s 137 runs and Marnus Labusche’s unbeaten 58 runs.
