Former Team India cricketer Gautam Gambhir believes that Sanju Samson has restarted his career by scoring a century in the last ODI of the three-match series against South Africa. However, along with this, Gambhir has also asked some tough questions to the selectors of the Indian cricket team that will they keep Sanju Samson in the team? Gambhir feels that Sanju Samson should get a consistent chance to play in this format and could be a good option as a wicketkeeper batsman for Team India, which is going through a transition phase. Gambhir said on Star Sports, ‘We all know how much talent he has, not just us, everyone who has seen his innings in the IPL knows how much talent he has. But with this innings his career started again, but when you score a century, it not only impresses the selectors but also puts pressure on them to pick you.

Gambhir continued, ‘But we have to see how much chance the team gives Sanju Samson, as the next World Cup is still a long time away. I think a player like Samson, Team India should stick with him. Team India’s top batting order has always been strong, but Samson can provide strength in the middle order. Samson restarted his career with this innings.
