Take bath first thing in the morning. Wish your son a long life and take a pledge to observe the vow of Ahoi Ashtami. Worship Mother Parvati. Draw a picture of Ahoi Mata on the wall with ocher and her sons along with it. Then place the mauli, jalabhishek, bowl in front of the mother and listen to the story of the Vrat of Ahoi Ashtami. Keeping water in a pot and above it in a bowl while performing puja. The karav should be the same one you used in karav choth. Worship all these images in the evening. Then in the evening offer water to Nakshatra along with rice.
