AISSEE 2024: Sainik School Entrance Exam Application Begins, Understand Admission Process & Exam Pattern.

NTA has issued notification for Sainik School Class 6 to Class 9 admission. Applications for admission to the country’s 33 military schools can be made by visiting exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE till 16 December 2023. The exam will be held on January 21, 2024 in pen paper mode. Ministry of Defense has approved 19 new military schools. For the academic year 2024-25, admission to Class 6 of New Sainik Schools will be conducted through AISSEE 2024 only. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to the CBSE Board. Along with studies in these schools, children are prepared for NDA and NA examinations and careers in other armed forces.

Capacity – Eligibility for Class 6 Admission: Candidate’s age should be between 10-12 years as on March 31, 2024. Entry is also open for girls.

Class 9 Entry Eligibility: Age should be between 13-15 years as on 31st March 2024. Must have passed 8th standard at the time of admission. Entry is also open for girls. Age limit is same for boys.

Sainik School Entrance Exam will be conducted in 186 cities. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages. A student can choose any language.

Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted for 150 minutes for admission to class 6 and 180 minutes for admission to class 9. The examination of the sixth standard will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm and the exam of the ninth standard will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. Language (Bhasha), Mathematics, Intelligence, General Knowledge will be tested in sixth standard and Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Knowledge, Social Science will be tested in ninth standard. 300 marks exam will be conducted in 6th standard and 400 marks in 9th standard. There will be no negative marking in the examination. All questions will be of MCQ type.

Minimum Qualifying Marks – A student should have minimum 25% marks in each section and 40% marks in aggregate. This condition is not applicable for SC, ST students.

Application Fee: For General, Defense Personnel and Ex-Serviceman Ward, OBC (NCL) Rs. 650
SC, ST: Rs. 500
