An Al Jazeera journalist cried in the morgue
The Qatari broadcaster later released photographs of journalist Dahdouh crying in the mortuary of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, Palestine, where she was accompanied by her 15-year-old son, seven-year-old daughter and two-year-old teary-eyed grandson. Other members of the family managed to escape during the attack, while other members of the family also escaped, but have not been traced so far. This claim has been made in Al Jazeera’s report.
The journalist’s family lived in a refugee camp
The family of journalist Dahdouh was also involved in Gaza, displaced by Israel’s war. The broadcaster reported that journalist Dahdouh’s family is living in a temporary home after evacuating Gaza City. Israel intensified its attacks on Hamas and warned Gazans to move south. The Al Jazeera journalist’s family is said to be living in the UN-recognised Nusirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Journalist’s family also died in ‘safe area’
According to the Israeli army, this is a ‘safe area’. However, Tel Aviv has continued military attacks on the area and other areas of southern Gaza, creating a climate of fear among the displaced. All of them are as unsafe here as they were in their homes in northern Gaza. There has been no comment from the Israeli army on the death yet.
