Arjun’s selection in Jharkhand’s under-16 cricket team, to play in the Vijay Merchant Trophy

Kailash Kumar/Bokaro. Young cricketer Arjun from Bokaro has been selected in the Jharkhand Under-16 squad for the Vijay Merchant Trophy organized by the BCCI. This selection is done by JSCA Cricket Academy. Young cricketer Arjun said that he had a keen interest in cricket since his childhood. Sachin Tendulkar and Australian bowler Shane Warne are their idols. Watching him play on TV piqued his interest.

Arjun said that Chira Chas began his initial training at his uncle Vijay’s house. After that, he learned the intricacies of the game of cricket from coach Rajendra of Durga Cricket Academy, Chas. Now as an all-rounder, he also bowls leg spin along with batting right-handed. He said that his dream is to play cricket for the Indian team one day. Arjun credits his parents and coaches for his success.

Informing about the family background, Arjun said that his father Suvendu Priyadarshi works as the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Deeptoli Ranchi. While mother Namita is a housewife. There is a happy atmosphere in the family due to Arjun’s choice. Jharkhand will play its first match against Gujarat on December 1 in the Vijay Merchant Trophy.
