New Delhi. The Indian cricket team came to play against Pakistan in the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup and got off to a great start. Keeping in view the possibility of rain, the Asian Cricket Council kept a reserve day in the match. This means that if rain interrupts the first day, the match can be completed on the second day. The Super 4 match between India and Pakistan was washed out due to rain on the first day and will be completed on the second day i.e. Reserve Day.
The Asia Cup Super 4 match between India and Pakistan was played on 10 September which was marred by rain. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bowl first. Team India captains Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill came into the field and created a blast that took the Pakistani bowlers’ breath away. Both the openers scored fifties and shared a century to give the team a great start.
Rain stopped the match
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put on 121 runs for the first wicket and the first wicket fell. Captain Rohit scored 56 runs off 49 balls while Gill was dismissed with 58 runs. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul pushed the innings forward. The score was 147 for 2 in 24.1 overs when rain came and the match could not start. As the match is a reserve day, it will be completed on the next day.
