The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former England all-rounder Adam Holyoke as the new batting coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team for the upcoming Australia tour. After a disappointing performance in the World Cup 2023, Pakistan’s men’s cricket team has seen a lot of changes. The board asked the entire management as well as captain Babar Azam to step down. After which Pakistan has appointed different captains for Test and white ball cricket. Adam has played four Tests and 35 ODIs for England.

After the Cricket World Cup played in India, the Pakistan team has completely changed. Head coach Grant Bradburn and team director Mickey Arthur were fired. He has been replaced by Mohammad Hafeez. Umar Gul has been appointed as the fast bowling coach and Saeed Ajmal as the spin coach after Morne Morkel’s contract expired.

While Australia’s Simon Hellmot (high performance coach), Abdul Majeed (fielding), and Mansoor Rana (assistant team manager) have been given other responsibilities. Head of strength and conditioning Darius Simon and physiotherapist Cliff Deacon are among the few who have retained their positions after the World Cup in India.

Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi as the new captain in T20 cricket after Babar Azam stepped down as captain. Apart from this, Shan Masood has been made the new captain for Test cricket. PCB has appointed Wahab Riaz as the chief selector of the team. The Pakistan team will play a Test series against Australia from December 14 to January 7. This will be followed by the T-20 series against New Zealand from January 12 to 21.
