Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on Thursday that the ‘Bharat’ coalition is expected to win 13 out of 14 seats in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said his party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was with the ‘Bharat’ alliance of opposition parties. Addressing JMM workers from Chatra, Palamu, Latehar and Garhwa districts here, Soren said, “We (the opposition alliance) have started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. We hope to win 13 out of 14 (Lok Sabha) seats in the state.
He said, “JMM stands firmly with the ‘Bharat’ Gathbandhan (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) and no one should have any doubts about this.” The Chief Minister alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi False promises have exposed the public and people will show them the way out in the Lok Sabha elections next year.
He alleged that the Center was using all its powers including the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other central agencies to destabilize his democratically elected government. The BJP-All Jharkhand Students’ Union (AJSU) alliance won 12 out of 14 seats in Jharkhand in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, while the Congress and JMM won one seat each.
