Bill passed to increase caste reservation to 65% in Bihar, SC crosses limit

The reservation bill to increase the coverage of reservation in Bihar to 75 percent was passed in the assembly on Thursday. The Bihar Assembly on Thursday approved a proposal to increase the existing limit of reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) from 50 per cent to 65 per cent.
