There is an important update regarding BPSC’s new One Lakh Teacher Recruitment. The Education Department of Bihar has sought information about the vacancies of secondary and higher secondary (classes nine to 12) teachers from all the districts of the state. Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava has sent a letter to all district education officers on Wednesday and directed them to properly evaluate the vacancies and send the list by 6 pm on September 14. It is being said that vacancies have been demanded from the districts regarding the recruitment process of teachers. The letter to the districts said that the review has found that more vacancies have been demanded in the districts of West Champaran, Katihar, Darbhanga, Saran, Siwan, East Champaran, Madhubani etc. In the past, some districts have not kept vacancies even to give 50 per cent promotion to higher secondary teachers. Therefore, there is a need to review the vacancy reports of all the districts including the above mentioned districts.
