BPSC Teacher Recruitment is tough competition in Science and Mathematics subjects, minimum cutoff is 80 in these subjects

BPSC TRE Result Declared:The second phase of teacher recruitment was cut-throat competition for merit in science and mathematics. The minimum cutoff in these subjects was 80. The main reason for which is said to be the increase in the number of candidates other than outside candidates. There was no minimum cutoff of 80 for unreserved category in any subject in the First Phase Teacher Recruitment Examination. This time the cutoff for BC, EWS and EBC candidates is also 76, 75 and 72 respectively. From this it can be inferred that the competition was very tough.

This time, each subject is expected to witness tough competition among the participants. Last time the cutoff for science subject in secondary in unreserved category was 50. At the same time, women candidates were selected only on the basis of prescribed cutoff qualifications. In the first phase, the cutoff in social science was only 74 while the cutoff in mathematics was 72. The cutoff of other subjects was reduced. This time 11 thousand 359 teachers have been selected for mathematics and science subjects. Due to so many vacancies candidates were expecting that the cutoff would be reduced, but it was not. The large number of candidates is also said to be a major reason for the increase in the cutoff. Candidates benefited from having minimum marks of zero in language.

The qualifying marks in the language subject have been reduced to zero in the second phase of teacher recruitment examination. Many candidates have benefited from this. Many candidates have secured pass marks in GS and main subject but could not secure the pre-determined qualifying marks in language subject. Even after this many candidates have made it to the cutoff. Earlier, the commission had made it mandatory to get 9 marks out of 30 in language subject. Later it was reduced to zero which benefited many candidates. The result was uploaded on the website by BPSC.
