The Ethics Committee made national security the most important basis in its recommendation. In its recommendation, the committee has said that Mahua Moitra shared the log-in details of her parliamentary account with unauthorized persons, affecting national security. The committee termed this as a serious offense and therefore recommended the dismissal of Mahua Moitra as a member of the Lok Sabha.
A report of 500 pages is ready
The Ethics Committee has prepared a 500-page report in the case of Mahua Moitra. The committee has also recommended to the Lok Sabha Secretariat that there should be a legal, intensive, institutional and time-bound inquiry into the entire matter. Now Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has to take a decision.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that Mahua Moitra shared the log-in ID and password of the parliamentary account with businessman Darshan Hirananda. Hiranandani posted questions on behalf of TMC MPs.
Mahua also admitted to sharing the log-in password
Mahua had earlier dismissed the allegations as false. Later, after Hiranandani’s confession, finally Mahua also admitted that she had shared her account’s log-in password with Hiranandani. He has described Darshan Hiranandani as his old friend. However, Moitra has denied the allegations of asking questions after taking the money.

Here, 40 minutes after Nishikant Dubey’s post, Mahua Moitra wrote on the social media handle Mahua wrote- “First CBI should answer these two questions of mine. After this they should come to my house and count my shoes.”
Moitra’s ex-partner filed a fresh complaint
At the same time, Mahua Moitra’s former partner and lawyer Jai Anant Dehdarai has filed a fresh complaint against her. Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehdrai filed a complaint at the Hauj Khas police station on Tuesday accusing Mahua Moitra of trespassing, i.e. forcibly entering her house and threatening the staff. Earlier, Dehdrai had expressed the threat to his life before the Delhi Police Commissioner.
Lawyer Jai Anant Dehdrai recently wrote to the CBI and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey claiming that Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra took bribe from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament. Due to these complaints, the Ethics Committee of Parliament investigated Moitra.
