New Delhi. The record of the most expensive player in the history of IPL has been broken in just 1 hour. This record has been broken by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team. Not long ago, in the IPL 2024 auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) shocked everyone by spending Rs 20 crore on Australian captain Pat Cummins. Now KKR has showered money on Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. KKR has spent Rs 24.75 crore on the world champion bowler.
Mitchell Starc was part of the champion Australia team in the World Cup. But Starc could not do anything special in the tournament. He did not get off to a good start in the mega event. However, he later made a comeback and took a total of 16 wickets in 10 matches. This star bowler has many records in his name in international cricket. He has returned to IPL after 8 years. He played the last season of IPL in the year 2015. During that time he was a part of Virat Kohli’s team i.e. RCB.
