This player, who was seen getting zero outs on the first day, got a chance to field during the match.

Rinku Singh replaced which player?
In the second day’s game against South Africa, the Indian team was bowled out for 245 runs in the first innings. After this, while bowling in the 30th over, Rinku Singh was seen running towards the boundary and stopping the ball while fielding. There is a debate about how he came into the field as a substitute when his name was not in the team list. KS Bharat was named as the 12th player but Rinku Singh came into the field. Mukesh Kumar was the 13th man and Ravindra Jadeja was the 14th man.
What do the ICC Rules say?
According to ICC rules, any team can nominate a maximum of 6 players on the substitute team sheet during a Test match. Players whose names are mentioned on it may take the field during a match in place of another player who is injured or rested. In some special circumstances, the match referee allows other players to enter the field as well.
