25 lakh applications received for 12 thousand posts Bihar Staff Selection Commission’s second inter-level examination has received 25 lakh applications for 12199 posts. The number of applications is highest for all exams conducted in recent years.
There are 200 times more applications than the number of vacancies. Considering the large number of candidates, speculations are rife that the examination will be held in five to six phases. The last date to apply was December 11. If commission officials are to be believed, the exam is expected to be held only after March. Manoj Kumar, OSD of the commission said that due to the large number of candidates, the examination will take time. The commission is currently engaged in counseling for third graduation level. This will be completed first. Only after this some other exams have to be completed. Second Inter Level Exam 2023 will have two phases. It consists of preliminary and mains examination. In the preliminary examination, one paper will be General Knowledge and will consist of 150 multiple choice questions from General Studies, General Science and Mathematics and Mental Ability Test. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 15 minutes. Candidates 5 times the number of vacancies will be invited for main examination based on performance in this stage.
