CLAT Counseling 2024: Registration till 20th to take admission in National Law University

On Monday, the counseling schedule for the successful students of the Combined Law Enrollment Entrance Examination (CLAT) 2024 was released.

The registration starts from Monday and candidates can do it till December 20. As fee, general category candidates have to pay Rs 30,000 and SC, ST, OBC candidates have to pay Rs 20,000. The first allotment list will be announced on December 26. Nominations will be held from December 26 to January 2, 2024. Nomination for 2801 seats in 24 National Law Universities will continue for five rounds. Nominations for the fourth round will begin on May 20 and nominations for the fifth round will begin on May 28.

Three options fixed after seat allotment Candidates who are successful in CLAT have to participate in the counseling process for registration. Abhishek Gunjan, co-founder of Law Prep Tutorial, said candidates will have three options after seat allotment – freeze, float and exit. Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment have to freeze the option and pay the confirmation fee to accept the allotment.

Those who want to get higher seeding in the next round have to choose the float option, those who are not satisfied with the allotment and don’t want to participate in the counseling process can choose the exit option to opt out.

Registration for Counseling from 11 to 20 December at 10 PM

The first allotment list was released on December 26, 2023

Freeze and float and nomination from December 26 to January 2, 2024

Second Allotment List 8th January 2024

Dadakhilala from 8th January to 12th January under second allotment

Third Allotment List January 22, 2024

Admission under third allotment list from 22nd to 25th January

4th Allotment List and Nominations on 20th May – 20th to 23rd May

Fifth and final allotment list 28 May and nominations – 28 to 31 May

General category will have to pay 30 thousand rupees, SC, ST and OBC will have to pay 20 thousand rupees.

Admission will be given on first come first serve basis till January 2.
