7th Pay Commission: The festival of Diwali is being celebrated across the country. Amid this 5-day festival starting from Dhanteras, Arunachal Pradesh government has given big news. The state government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for its employees and pensioners by four per cent. State Chief Minister Pema Khandu has given this information through social media account.

Khandu wrote in his post – From July 1, DA and DR have been increased from 42 percent to 46 percent. The Chief Minister said that DA and DR dues from July 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023 will be paid in cash. Happy Diwali to you all. Besides, Deputy Chief Minister Chauna Main, who also holds the Finance Department, said that the expenditure on DA and DR allowances will be met from the existing budget provisions.

Let it be known that the revised rates of DA will be applicable only to regular government employees, while DR will be paid to state government pensioners and family pensioners.

Several states decided: After increasing the DA by the central government, many states have decided on it so far. Recently, states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha have also increased the DA of their employees. Similarly, the pensioners also got good news of increase in dearness allowance.
