Delhi Judicial Services Prelims: The Delhi High Court rejected a plea seeking postponement of the Delhi Judicial Services Prelims Examination (DJSPE) scheduled for December 17. Let us inform you that the petitioner said that the dates of the recruitment examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) are clashing with the dates of the Judicial Service Preliminary Examination. At the same time, many law students also want to appear in the UPSC exam. If the exam is held on the same day, he/she cannot sit for both the exams.

A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Mini Pushkarna refused to entertain the plea, saying a similar plea had been dismissed by another division bench of the Delhi High Court. In such a situation, it will not be considered further.

Let us tell you that Vishal Yadav filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking postponement of the Delhi Judicial Service preliminary examination. In which it was stated that the date of the examination was clashing with the joint recruitment examination conducted by UPSC for recruitment to various legal posts. In such a situation, it will not be possible for the candidates to appear both the exams simultaneously on the same date.

On December 7, 2023, another bench of the High Court dismissed a similar petition, saying that the Delhi Judicial Services Preliminary Examination had already been postponed once, and it was impossible to postpone it once again. Let us inform you that earlier, due to the All India Bar Examination to be held on 10th December, the Delhi Judicial Service Preliminary Examination was postponed from 10th to 17th December 2023.
