Disturbed by attempts to ‘humiliate’ constitutional institutions: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday said he was saddened by attempts to “disparage” constitutional institutions. He also said that people who do this should be punished by the framer of the Constitution, B.R. Ambedkar’s teachings should be followed. Addressing the convocation of Maharishi Dayanand University in Haryana’s Rohtak, Dhankhar said the corridors of power that were “in the grip of brokers” 10 or 15 years ago have now been cleaned. Appealed to students to take inspiration from Ambedkar’s life. The action, Dhankhar said, “is very important because we feel that some of us, a very small number, are not following it.”

On corruption, Dhankhar claimed, “I remember a decade or 15 years ago the corridors of governance were full of power brokers…nothing can happen without corruption,” he said, adding, “Now the situation is that these corridors have become .free from middlemen.” Dhankhar said, “India is moving further than ever before and this journey of progress, I can assure you, is not going to stop.” He also urged the graduates to take advantage of the positive atmosphere. and prosperous. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Supreme Court Judge Justice Suryakant, Haryana Minister Mool Chand Sharma and Maharshi Dayanand University Vice Chancellor Professor Rajbir Singh were present on the occasion.
