The link of the solver caught in the examination conducted for various posts of Eklavya Model Residential School has not yet been linked to any gang. Some of the solvers told the police that they had gone for the exam out of greed for money, while many said they only wanted to clear the exam out of friendship. Dhumanganj, Atarasuiya and Karnalganj police sent the trio to jail, while Soraun police released both the arrested solvers and Munnabhai on bond.
Police arrested Pramod Kumar, a resident of Solver Fatehpur, during the examination held at DP Public School. When Pramod was questioned, he said that he was a student of IVV. From here, after completing post graduation, he started preparing for competitive exams. His friend Sandeep offered him 35,000 rupees to pass the exam. He had to coach. But he was caught before getting Rs 35,000. The Colonelganj police sent him to jail on Sunday. Similarly, Nitish from Bihar who was caught in Dhumanganj had agreed to take the exam for Rs 15,000. Brijej, a resident of Solver Bihar, was sent to jail by the Atarasuiya police. However, before going to jail Brijesh had given the same statement to the police that he had given the exam not for money but for friendship. His friend did not know science. That’s why I came to clear the exam. The Souravan police also could not reveal how much of a deal the solver had made to take the exam in place of someone else.
