The name of this scheme was PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this scheme, a total of Rs 6000 is given to the farmers every year in 3 equal installments. More than 10 crore farmers are benefiting from this scheme. Now after 5 years once again there are indications of increase in installments in this scheme.

It has often been observed that the interim budget has a glimpse of elections. It tries to attract a large class or beneficiaries. In such a situation, it is possible that the government may increase the installment to appease the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Media reports are saying that this installment can be increased to 8 thousand rupees or 10 thousand rupees.
Rejected at home
Recently, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, said that at present there is no proposal to increase the amount of PM-kisan beyond Rs 6,000.
So far, the central government in 15 installments of Rs. 2.81 lakh crore has been disbursed, benefiting more than 11 crore farmers.
General budget details

Focusing on animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries, the agricultural loan target has been increased to Rs. 20 lakh crore was made. Digital Agriculture Mission has been launched by Modi government. A provision of Rs 450 crore was made to promote it.
Who doesn’t benefit?
People who are registered and practicing with professional bodies like doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects are not covered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Apart from this, installments under the scheme are also not given to farmers who file income tax returns.
