Lioness dies in Etawah Lion Safari
Etawah: About 11-year-old lioness Jennifer died during treatment at the Etawah Lion Safari on Friday morning. A senior official of Lion Safari gave this information. Etawah Lion Safari Director Diksha Bhandari said that Jennifer, the lioness of the safari park, died on Friday morning while being treated for a kidney infection.

He said that Jennifer was born on 21 May 2012 at the Zoological Park in Junagadh and was brought to the Etawah Lion Safari Park on 23 September 2019. Bhandari said that when Jennifer became an adult, she gave birth to a cub on 15 April 2020 at the Etawah Lion Safari, which the safari administration named Keshari. Jennifer’s second cub was born on 10 August 22, named Vishwa who is currently at the Safari Park.
The director said that Jennifer was infected with Kovid-19 on May 6, 2021, from which she recovered after about three months of treatment, but her kidney infection persisted. He said that Jennifer continued to receive treatment under the supervision of the safari administration and specialists, and in the meantime she fell ill again on October 23.
He said that due to illness he stopped eating and was cured by the treatment of safari doctors and specialist doctors but died once again on 28 October 23, being treated by specialist doctors and the safari park doctor and veterinarian. . He said that the lioness died during treatment at 8.30 this morning. Bhandari said Jennifer’s body is being sent to IVRI in Bareilly for post-mortem.
