Anis continued, ‘Actually Feroze sahib was afraid that the character of ‘RDX’ was against his image. Every time he refused the film on some pretext. After many attempts he agreed and our team left for Dubai. But once again Feroze sahib changed his mind and refused to come to the shoot. I was also firm and said if you don’t come I will call my team back from Dubai. Then Feroze Sahib came and shot his part in Dubai and Mumbai and the rest is history..’

The 2007 film ‘Welcome’ starred Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar in lead roles. The film turned out to be a blockbuster on the big screen and Feroze’s character ‘RDX’ was well liked. Made on a budget of 32 crores, the film did a business of over 117 crores. Let us tell you that Feroze Sahib passed away on 27 April 2009 at the age of 69.
