During the match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder in Australia’s T20 League Big Bash League 2023-24, something you might have never seen before. Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf playing for Melbourne Stars was preparing himself to bowl and suddenly it was his turn to bat. In fact, Melbourne Stars lost four wickets in four consecutive balls in the last over against Sydney Thunder, forcing Haris Rauf to come out to bat. Rauf had to come to the field on the last ball of Melbourne Stars’ innings, in such a situation Rauf was completely unprepared and reached the field running with bat, gloves, helmet in hand. Meanwhile Rauf was not wearing a pad. Daniel Sams of Sydney Thunder, who was bowling, was also surprised to see Rauf. Critics also mocked him.

The score of Melbourne Stars was 170 runs for six wickets in 19 overs. Daniel Sams came in to bowl the last over, two single runs off the first two balls. Samus then took a catch on his own ball and showed Beau Webster the way to the pavilion. Then Usama Mir was caught out by Chris Green off Sams. There were two balls left in the match and Melbourne Stars had two wickets to spare. Mark Steketty was then run out and Rauf had to come in unprepared. Samus bowled Dawson on the last ball to end Melbourne Stars’ innings.
