UPSC Success Story: To become an Indian IAS officer it is mandatory to clear a tough exam like UPSC. To crack this exam, a candidate has to study diligently for many hours and even spend many years for preparation, only then can the candidate attain the posts of IAS, IFS, IPS and IRS.

Shena Agarwal was born and brought up in Yamunanagar, Haryana. In the year 2009, he graduated from AIIMS, Delhi. While in the year 2004 CBSE Topped the pre-medical test. Shena was gifted in studies right from the beginning. He secured 95% marks in class 10 and 92% in class 12. After completing his MBBS degree, he decided to take the UPSC exam.
In the same year of his graduation i.e. 2009, he gave his first attempt at the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Shena’s preparation was not that strong at that time, due to which she could not succeed in the exam. He did not let the exam failure weigh him down and decided to take the exam a second time.
In the year 2010, she took the exam for the second time and passed the exam with 305 rank. After which he was selected for the post of Indian Revenue Service (IRS). While she was undergoing her IRS training in Nagpur, she was also preparing to appear for the UPSC exam for the third time. Shena was aware of her abilities and wanted to give herself another chance. After which she took the UPSC exam for the third time in the year 2011. Let us tell you that in the third attempt, he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer by getting the first rank.
Such preparation, this was the strategy
Shena was good at studies right from the beginning. Therefore, he paid special attention to self-study during UPSC. He said that anyone knows what is wrong with him and what needs to be improved. Taking coaching is a good option, but self study is most important for UPSC preparation. Along with this, he also took expert advice and guidance when required.
She used to study for 5-6 hours every day. “There are no shortcuts when it comes to UPSC preparation. You have to study,” he says.
For current affairs he preferred daily newspapers. He believes that UPSC aspirants should read newspaper every day.
– Sheena’s medical science and psychology were optional subjects. He studied this subject very well during MBBS.
