Stock market holiday: There is good news for stock market investors. If you are also trading then you must have important information about this news. In fact, the stock market will be closed tomorrow, Monday i.e. Christmas Day, December 25th. There will be no trading in equities, derivatives and SLB segments on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) indices on this day. Trading will resume on the BSE on the next day i.e. Tuesday 26th December for the pre-opening session at 9 am and the regular market will start at 9.15 am and the market will close at 3.30 pm as on all trading days. When will markets close in 2024?
According to the circular, there are total 19 holidays in the new year i.e. 2024. 14 of those holidays are on working days. The remaining 5 are Saturdays or Sundays for a total of 7 long weekends. For the equity, equity derivatives and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments, the month of March has the highest number of holidays. The market will be closed on January 26, this day falls on Friday. Also in March is Mahashivratri (March 8, Friday). Holi (Monday, March 25) and Good Friday (March 29), the latter two holidays being in the same week.

Let us tell you that the stock market closed with a surge on Friday. The 30-share Sensex closed up 241.86 points, or 0.34 per cent, at 71,106.96. At one point during the trading it had climbed up to 394.45 points. there itself, Nifty But closed at 21,349.40 points with an increase of 94.35 points or 0.44 percent.
