Read on the application
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has laid down the rules on how and what the process will be for the recruitment of teachers and instructors from primary schools to higher educational institutions in UP. The new commission, formed by merging the Higher Education Service Commission and the Secondary Education Service Selection Board, will now take applications for the recruitment of teachers at various levels. Selection for the posts of Principal and Assistant Professor in Degree Colleges will be made on the basis of written examination and interview.
In the recruitment of posts in degree colleges, the merit of the selected candidates will be prepared by adding the marks of written test, interview and Academic Performance Indicator (API).
Recruitment of teachers
Now a written exam will be organized for the recruitment of teachers and trainers. Written examination will be conducted on objective basis of two hours. Merit list will be prepared by adding 90 percent marks of written test and 10 percent marks of interview. A minimum of 40 per cent and a maximum of 90 per cent marks may be awarded in the interview for transparency. Where there is no interview, recruitment will be made on the basis of marks in the written test only. Earlier, high school intermediate graduation and marks of B.Ed and BTC were added to the educational coefficient. But that won’t happen now.
The new rules state that if the selection process for the advertised post does not start within three years, the commission can cancel the relevant advertisement. The Commission shall have the right to issue a fresh advertisement.
