In a video shared by Gujarat Titans on social media, Gill said, ‘We all know that the captaincy of the team is connected with many things. These include commitment, loyalty, hard work and discipline. I have played under great players and learned a lot from them. According to me, the experience of playing under the captaincy of those players will be useful here, whatever I have learned will help a lot in IPL.

Shubman Gill further said, ‘We have many players in our team who can handle the team. Be it Kane Williamson or Rashid Khan or Mohammed Shami or David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha. So I think everything will be fine. Let us tell you that Shubman Gill scored 890 runs in 2023 IPL and also won the Orange Cap. During this time he also scored two century innings.
